English

Purpose: Successive disruptions in modern supply chains and the imperative of sustainable development require organisations to adopt intelligent and strategic approaches. This study proposes a comprehensive and practical model for the simultaneous assessment and improvement of resilience and sustainability in smart supply chains by integrating machine learning tools with strategic multi-criteria decision-making methods.
Methodology: The study is applied in purpose and descriptive-survey in data collection. First, the key dimensions and indicators of sustainability and resilience were identified and screened. Machine learning algorithms, including XGBoost and Random Forest, were then used to analyse operational performance data and to predict disruption risk. To support strategic decisions under uncertainty, the Fuzzy Best-Worst Method (Fuzzy BWM) was used to weight the criteria and Fuzzy TOPSIS was used to prioritise suppliers and optimisation strategies.
Findings: The results indicate that combining the predictive analytics of machine learning with managers’ strategic judgements considerably improves the accuracy of resilience and sustainability assessment. Data transparency, operational flexibility and environmental responsibility received the highest priority in strategic decisions for smart supply chains.
Conclusion: By linking operational data with high-level decision-making, the proposed model provides senior managers with a strategic roadmap for maintaining operational sustainability and competitive advantage in the face of crises and emerging phenomena.
