English

Due to its complex and multidimensional nature, the art market requires a strategic approach to marketing. However, the causal relationships linking environmental and market antecedents, the strategy formulation process, the adoption of art marketing strategies, and the subsequent outcomes have rarely been examined in an integrated manner. Therefore, this study aims to test and analyze the causal relationships within an art marketing strategy model. This is an applied study employing a descriptive-correlational design, with data collected via a survey. The statistical population consisted of professionals and experts in the marketing of art products, as well as faculty members and graduate students in the fields of marketing and the economics of art. A sample of 540 individuals was selected using rules of thumb and a convenience sampling method. Data were gathered using a researcher-developed questionnaire based on the "Art Marketing Strategies" model proposed by Asgari et al. (1405), and the analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that the economic, political, and socio-cultural environments, along with trends and technologies, characteristics of the artist, the audience, and the artwork itself, as well as elements of the art market and communication within it, exert a significant positive influence on the process of formulating art marketing strategies. Furthermore, the strategy formulation process significantly impacts the implementation of art marketing strategies, which, in turn, yields significant positive outcomes within the realm of art marketing. Furthermore, the coefficients of determination ($R^2$) for the variables—the process of formulating art marketing strategies, the art marketing strategies themselves, and the outcomes of adopting such strategies—were found to be 0.43, 0.49, and 0.36, respectively, indicating a satisfactory explanatory power for the research model. Overall, the findings underscore the necessity of a systematic perspective on art marketing strategy and its role in enhancing performance within the art market.
